Mitch Marner is a name that everyone in the hockey community has heard, unless you've lived under a rock since his 61 point rookie season during the 2016-17 season. Marner has been both the most loved AND the most hated Leafs player the last couple years, especially during the playoffs, where the Leafs haven't won a playoff series since 2004.

The Pittsburgh Penguins, the team that is now known for first round exits in relation to the Toronto Maple Leafs, was eliminated in the first round in 5 games after an amazing performance by the New York Islanders, and the horrific performance of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Most notably, Tristan Jarry.
John Tavares during yesterday's game was injured after a hit to the ice from Ben Chiarot, following a knee from Corey Perry, who was gliding at a very fast speed. As this injury is a very bad one, one of the worst I've seen, I will not be providing a link to the video. John Tavares passed out twice after the hit and was later stretchered off, giving the crowd a thumbs up. Many people believe that Tavares will either miss part of next season or even be forced to retire. While I honestly don't believe that will happen, I do understand why people think that.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have been a dominate team since their Stanley Cup run back in 2015, and with their most recent Stanley Cup win in 2020, the Lightning are looking to go back to back in 2021. The Lightning were favourites to win the cup (along with the Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights), and have proved that they are capable of doing that. There are a few issues that have come up ever since before the season started though.
